Registration in the participant portal to obtain a participant identification code (PIC).
Compile required documents:
Completion of documented self-assessment form (form available in English, Spanish and French).
Compile three mandatory references encompassing what is required from a host organization during the deployment of EU Aid Volunteers and concern this experience in relation to requisite norms and procedures, if they are in a position to provide such information.
In particular, they must:
A · Specify the experience of their organization in relation to the minimum requisite norms and procedures to be implemented by the host organization (satisfied/unsatisfied).
B · Justify/explain each evaluation.
C · Specify, where appropriate, necessary additional activities or tasks to remedy shortcomings.
Three references, a minimum of two, of the following categories:
A certified sending or host organization, with which the applicant for certification has already created, or plans to create, an association to participate in the EU Aid Volunteers initiative.
A member of the Commission of humanitarian aid who has signed a current framework contract (association) and with which the applicant host organization has successfully worked with in a humanitarian aid project.
A pertinent or associated non-profit international organization or civil law body with which the applicant host organization has successfully worked with in a humanitarian aid project.
An accreditation or auditing agency that has granted certification to the applicant host organization in relation to the EU Aid Volunteers initiative, in which case they must also present documents that certify such accreditation or auditing.

Optional evidence documents provided by the applicant organization for the areas where a policy must be established, ex. Security policy, equal treatment policy, equal opportunity and anti-discrimination; health and safety policy, safeguarding vulnerable children and adults; data protection.
