The certification process is based on provided evidence regarding compliance with determined quality standards. This implies that the organizations must demonstrate definition and/or application of their politics and procedures with respect to the requirements established to be certified as sending or host organizations. To guarantee that all participating organizations abide to quality standards for the management of EU Aid Volunteers, as established by the Commission.
The certified sending and host organizations will submit a new certification every three years, or at any time, in case of substantial modifications of the norms and procedures established by the EU Aid Volunteers Initiative. The Commission may also decide to suspend or annul the certification following the rules indicated in Art. 37 of Regulation 1244/2014.
Only certified organizations are permitted to establish consortiums with other sending and host organizations to present projects for the deployment of EU Aid Volunteers.
