Alianza por la Solidaridad -henceforth ALIANZA- is, legally speaking, a private non-profit foundation, independent of any political ideology, company or government. 2.- PERSONAL DATA

The gathering and handling of those personal data will take place in full compliance with that prescribed in European and Spanish data protection regulations, and in accordance with the contents of this section.

2.1 · Ends

ALIANZA does not gather any data without the knowledge of its owner. If you do not authorise us via acceptance of the privacy policy, we shall neither store your date, nor send you messages, nor use your data for any purpose.

If you decide to give us personal data, we understand that the data are yours or you are authorised to provide us with that information. We shall take the data to be true and accurate.

When you fill in your data on specific forms (cyberaction, participation, contracts or donations), we save the IP address (the number which identifies each computer accessing the internet) of the device from which the data was sent. Why? We are trying to prevent fraud –for example, the unauthorised use of a credit card. You will be told what data we consider essential in order to carry out the action, and what may be left blank or filled in as you wish.

ALIANZA gathers the aforementioned data for the following ends:

The management of your collaboration and your donations.

The creation of profiles for the segmentation and personalisation of campaigns and our member care service.

The sending of information about ALIANZA projects, our services and activities.

The sale of fairtrade and organic products via the ALIANZA store.

The handling of your information requests.

The control and management of access, the use of the portal and contracting of services.

The management of administrative tasks.

The performance of statistical studies.

2.2 · Principles on which Alianza por la Solidaridad (ALIANZA) bases data use

ALIANZA does not sell, nor will sell, in any event, the data we gather via our web page or via pages for which we have agreements with third parties as a result of participation in awareness-raising campaigns or those received by donors.

ALIANZA does not exchange data with any profit or non-profit organisation.

ALIANZA uses all available means within its scope to ensure that the data we gather is secure (see security).

2.3 · Gathering and handling of personal data

The main use of the data about those who provide the data is to keep those persons informed regarding the work of our organisation in defence of human rights, to invite them to “sign” petitions via the internet regarding cases of human rights’ infringement, to participate in actions of solidarity, to send invitations, to download content created by ALIANZA, to sell products from the ALIANZA online store, to issue invitations to take part as an activist/volunteer or to become a member, to make donations, to leave a legacy or to take part in solidarity events (such as exhibitions, campaigns, etc.).

Thus, ALIANZA gathers and handles the following personal data:

Information provided by the user: data that the user provides via contact or subscription forms, and the use, purchase or contracting of any of the services made available by ALIANZA.

These may require:

Name and surname(s).

Identity document.

Contact details: email, telephone, address, etc.

Bank account number(s).

Invoicing details.

Automatic information; on visiting the portal, ALIANZA obtains and saves:

the Internet Service Provider (ISP) and/or IP address providing access to the network,

the date and time of access to the portal and services,

the Internet address of the link which brought you to our portal,

the number of daily visits and the frequency with which they use components of the services.

This allows us to comply with the purposes mentioned above. In addition, we may provide statistical information to our partners regarding how our members and supporters, as a group, use the portal. This information may be shared so that our partners also learn with what frequency users use the components on our portal and may, by the same token, provide an optimised service.

The data are saved to a file owned by ALIANZA.

3 · PERIOD FOR WHICH DATA WILL BE STORED

ALIANZA will not gathered data for a period longer than is necessary in order to achieve the purposes stated above, and in and event will comply with that prescribed in legislation covering the sector.

In cases in which the data has been gathered as a result of contractual obligation, they will be stored for a period in which liability may arise as a result of the corresponding legal relationship or execution of the contact or agreement.

4 · SECURITY MEASURES

ALIANZA has a strong commitment to the security of the data it handles and stores, and has thus adopted the necessary organisational and technical measures to prevent, alteration, loss or unauthorised access to personal data.

Specifically, ALIANZA has adopted, among others, the following security measures:

The ability to access data is restricted.

Access is only allowed via identification and password.

Backup copies are made and kept in a secure manner.

5 · TRANSFER OF DATA

ALIANZA does not transfer personal data for which it is responsible to third parties, except in the event of legal obligation, and in the event that in the future the data were transferred to a third party, for the purposes of handling in the name of ALIANZA, explicit consent for the transfer would first be requested from the interested parties.

6 · INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER OF DATA

ALIANZA does not transfer data to beyond the European Economic Area.

7 · LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY PAGES

ALIANZA may provide users with links to third-party pages or portals. The privacy policies and effective handling of personal data by these third parties is totally unconnected to Alianza por la Solidaridad, and you must exercise caution when browsing those portals and/or contracting any product or service they offer. Likewise, it is your responsibility and your decision to accept their policies in that respect.

8 · CONFIDENTIALITY

Data gathered from users will be treated as highly confidential and will be incorporated within the files for which ALIANZA is responsible.

9 · RIGHTS

You may exercise your right to access, rectification, objection, removal, limitation or portability at any time, via written request to our team, attaching a photocopy of your identification document. Contact details are those provided at the beginning of this Privacy Policy.

If you wish to withdraw your consent regarding some specific end, you may also do so at any time. This withdrawal, however, will not affect the legality of previous handling.

The forms you can use to provide us with written notification are those proposed by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), which you can find here.

10 · DATA PROTECTION OFFICER

ALIANZA has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) to whom queries or complaints should be addressed.

11 · RIGHT TO COMPLAIN TO THE AEPD

You have the right to complain to the AEPD if you understand that your right to the protection of data of a personal nature has been infringed in any way.

12 · MINORS

This portal, its information, contents, services and/or products offered thereon, are NOT aimed at minors under the age of 14.

If ALIANZA becomes aware or suspects the registration of a minor under the age of 14, the registration will be immediately cancelled and access or use of the products, services or contents corresponding to that person will be prevented.

13 · APPLICABLE LEGISLATION

This Privacy Policy is governed in each and every one of its terms by Spanish Law.
